1. Identify the Grip Size

The Springfield Echelon platform utilizes two primary grip module sizes depending on the model:

• Compact Grip: Standard on the Echelon 4.0C.
• Full Grip: Standard on the Echelon 4.0FC and the Echelon 4.5F.

2. Identify the Magazine Capacity

Echelon magazines are categorized into three total capacities:

• 10R (10 Rounds)
• 15R (15 Rounds)
• 17R (17 Rounds)

Standard Capacity Configurations

The +0 basepad fits the standard capacity magazine of any Echelon model (4.0C, 4.0FC, or 4.5).

• 15R Magazines on Compact Grips: 15 rounds is the standard capacity for the 4.0C compact frame. Use the +0 Standard Capacity basepad.
• 17R Magazines on Full Grips: 17 rounds is the standard capacity for the 4.5 and 4.0FC full-size frames. Use the +0 Standard Capacity basepad.

Limited Capacity Configurations

Limited capacity magazines are based on both the magazine capacity and the grip size it is inserted into. If your magazine holds fewer rounds than the standard capacity for its frame size, select the corresponding limited capacity basepad.

• 10R Magazines: Whether utilizing a Compact Grip or a Full Grip, 10-round magazines require the 10 Round Limited Capacity basepad.
• 15R Magazines on Full Grips: Because 15 rounds is less than the standard 17-round capacity of a full-size frame, you must use the 15 Round Limited Capacity basepad.
